In the sacrament prayer, God promises us that we “may always have his Spirit to be with” us. We have to be someone that the Spirit wants to be with.
If I fight with my sister, the Spirit will not be with me. But if I help my brother, the Spirit will be with me. I have to choose to do things that invite the Spirit.
Praying, reading the scriptures, and going to church are all things I do to invite the Spirit. I know the Spirit wants to be with us when we are good.
